Event to celebrate the life of Pat Weldon. Vale Pat

On Thursday 31 August we received the tragic news that Pat Weldon had drowned in a river in Dublin on Wednesday Irish time. Our Board, staff and volunteers, supporters and friends are devastated at the loss of this wonderful man who gave so much to so many.

An event will be held to remember and celebrate our much loved friend Pat at 10.30 for 11.00am on Monday 18 September at Leonda, 2 Wallen Road Hawthorn. Father Peter Hudson, friend of Pat and former member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors will officiate.  Finger food, tea and coffee will be served at the completion.  This venue will accommodate the number of guests we anticipate will attend and has ample parking.

You are invited to write or print special memories or stories of Pat or a message or reflection which you would like to share, and bring it to pin on one of the pin boards that will be provided.   We’ll gather these and send them to Pat’s family after the ceremony.

Likewise, guests are welcome to pin a photo to the pin board, and we will send these on to his family.  Remember to write some details on the back such as who is in the photo and when and where it was taken.

Given Pat’s commitment to the care of children, we will have ‘In Memory’ envelopes available for those who wish to make a donation towards sponsoring a child in Pat’s name.  This is the most tangible thing we can do for Pat at this immediate time.
